VISION STATEMENT
Open Theatre Project creates theatre that fosters engaged communities, cultivates empathy and forges authentic relationships. We recognize that many of the traditional operating principles of OTP and the American theatre have been rooted in white supremacist structures. At OTP, we commit to transparency in exposing and removing these structures in all aspects of our company.
Guiding Principles
Anti-Racism
We will constantly work towards anti-racist action; by identifying, resisting, and removing white supremacist structures both in and out of the rehearsal room.
Community Engagement
We are committed to community relationships that are transformative rather than transactional.
Intersectionality

We are committed to honoring the intersecting identities of our company members, creative collaborators, and audiences.
Transparency

We are committed to being completely democratic and transparent in how we create, foster and pay for our work.
